Bristol County
Bristol County is made up of the Towns of
Barrington,
Bristol, and
Warren.
History:
Most of Bristol County was at one time part of the State of Massachusetts.
Government:
County government in Rhode Island is extremely limited. Most of the government authority
either resides with the State of Rhode Island or the various cities and towns.
Education:
Public schools in Barrington are considered some of the best in the State, while the Bristol-Warren Regional
school system does not do quite as well.
